STARMUSIQ AAYUTHA EZHUTHU MOVIE
Aayutha Ezhuthu is a perfect example of a movie that was really ahead of its time, and is now celebrated highly compared to when it initially came out. Some of his films have been huge hits, and some have been misunderstood or extremely ahead of their times. His films have a scope which break through the traditional Tamil cinema and Indian cinema barriers. Mani Ratnam is like Kamal Hassan in many ways. Hopefully, he makes another film like this in the future!Īayutha Ezhuthu - 10/10. Some of Ratnam's best films are ones that look at society and how it is. Mani Ratnam gives honest portrayals of the youth, and its quite a nice change that the main focus for the youth in the film isn't just love. It's a movie about politics, but also a movie about how the youth can help create change. Rahman delivers a score that brings the furious energy and anger that is found in the youth, and he delivers one of his most underrated scores in his combo with Ratnam. Each character is given an arc which feels natural and believable. He dedicates certain colour schemes to the characters to help show their emotions. How the film dives into each character's lives before their stories intertwine (metaphorically done on a bridge), shows the expertise and directing flair that Mani Ratnam has. We follow 3 different men, from three different social and economical backgrounds. What makes this film so awesome is its themes and topics that it touches upon. Through this film, Mani Ratnam was trying to capture the voice of the youth. The hyperlink story technique and focus on youth in politics was something that tamil cinema didn't see often or prominently as the main story.
